When ordering custom peptides, four parameters drive cost and delivery: sequence length, purity grade, quantity and modifications.
Purity grades
- Crude: screening and pilot experiments
- Desalted / >70%: immunogens, peptide arrays
- >80-90%: WB, enzyme substrates, affinity purification
- >95%: quantitative assays, receptor-ligand binding, NMR
- >98%: SAR, crystallography, sensitive bioassays
Salt forms: TFA is default; choose acetate for cell experiments and cosmetic applications.
Pricing: quoted per residue and scale; modifications (fluorescent tags, DOTA, PEG) are itemized.
